This download area contains downloads for LintProject Professional and supporting files. We advise you to take the time to read the licencing conditions at the bottom of the page before downloading this software.

LintProject Professional uses third party static code analysis tools (Gimpel PC-lint or CppCheck) code analysis tool to perform the analysis.

As such, you will need a valid PC-lint or CppCheck licence and installation in order to be able to use this software. Unfortunately we are currently unable to include these in the trial download as they are supplied by third party vendors.

If you need to purchase a copy of PC-lint you can purchase one from us or via a PC-lint reseller such as PhaedruS SystemS or Kessler Software GmbH. CppCheck is open source and can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/cppcheck.

PC-lint is an industry standard C/C++ analysis tool and very thorough. By contrast, CppCheck requires no configuration but produces less detailed output.

If you are setting up LintProject Professional for use with PC-lint for the first time, you might find it useful to take a look at the PC-lint configuration files we use ourselves. The zipfile below contains std.lnt files for each supported environment, as well as the options.lnt file which defines our warning policy and the files we use to suppress common issues in the Win32 API and the MFC, ATL and WTL frameworks:


Licencing Conditions

Please note that the licencing conditions which follow relate to the current version of the software. The licence agreement for previous versions may differ, so if in doubt please refer to the licencing agreement supplied with your installation. If you have any queries regarding our licencing terms, please contact us.

You should carefully read the following terms and conditions before using this software. Unless you have a different licence agreement signed by an authorised representative of Riverblade Limited, your use of this software indicates your full acceptance of this license agreement and warranty.

Riverblade Limited, as Licencer, grants to you, the Licensee, a non-exclusive license to use this software program (hereinafter the "software") in accordance with the terms contained in this license.


Trial Use

Once the software has been installed for the first time, you have a 30 day period in which to evaluate the software. Once this period elapses you must purchase a licence to continue using it.

Note that LintProject Professional is licenced on a per user, rather than a per machine basis. If installed on a build server, each server counts as a single user.


Copyright

All title and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE, including but not limited to any images, texts, and sounds incorporated into the SOFTWARE, are owned by Riverblade Limited.


Redistribution

You may freely distribute the installer for this software, provided that:
  1. You only distribute the original Install program of the software.
  2. You DO NOT charge, or ask for donations, for this.
  3. You DO NOT distribute it with any other product, commercial or not, without prior written permission from Riverblade Limited.

LintProject Professional and its accompanying files are distributed "as-is", and without any warranties, either expressed or implied. We will not accept any responsibility for any damage caused by its use (though please inform us of any such occurrence, and we'll do our best to prevent it happening again). In other words, you use LintProject Professional at your own risk.

Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be thoroughly tested with non-critical data before relying on it. The user must assume the entire risk of using the program. The liability of the vendor (Riverblade Limited) will be limited exclusively to product replacement.
