Visual Lint Downloads

This download area contains downloads for Visual Lint and supporting files. We advise you to take the time to read the licencing conditions at the bottom of the page before downloading this software.

Please note: The PC-lint vendor (Gimpel Software) do not allow trial installations of their product, and therefore the Visual Lint trial download does not contain a copy of PC-lint.

To use Visual Lint, you must therefore have access to licenced installations of both PC-lint and Microsoft Visual Studio or Visual C++. If you need to purchase a copy of PC-lint you can purchase one from us or via PhaedruS SystemS - the only European distributor able to supply PC-lint and Flexelint site licences.

If you are setting up Visual Lint for the first time, you might find it useful to take a look at the PC-lint configuration files we use ourselves. The zipfile below contains std.lnt files for each supported IDE, as well as the options.lnt file which defines our warning policy and the riverblade-lint8.lnt and riverblade-lint9.lnt files we use to suppress common issues in Win32 API and the MFC, ATL and WTL frameworks:

Licencing Conditions

Please note that the licencing conditions which follow relate to the current version of the software. The licence agreement for previous versions may differ, so if in doubt please refer to the licencing agreement supplied with your installation. If you have any queries regarding our licencing terms, please contact us.

You should carefully read the following terms and conditions before using this software. Unless you have a different licence agreement signed by an authorised representative of Riverblade Limited, your use of this software indicates your full acceptance of this license agreement and warranty.

Riverblade Limited, as Licencer, grants to you, the Licensee, a non-exclusive license to use this software program (hereinafter the "software") in accordance with the terms contained in this license.

There are three editions of Visual Lint: Standard, Professional and Enterprise. By default, the software installs as Visual Lint Enterprise Edition, following you have a 30 day period in which to evaluate the software. Once this period elapses you must register it to continue using it.

Note that Visual Lint is licenced on a per user, rather than a per machine basis.

All title and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE, including but not limited to any images, texts, and sounds incorporated into the SOFTWARE, are owned by Riverblade Limited.

You may freely distribute the installer for this software, provided that:
  1. You only distribute the original Install program of the software.
  2. You DO NOT charge, or ask for donations, for this.
  3. You DO NOT distribute it with any other product, commercial or not, without prior written permission from Riverblade Limited.
