The Analysis Results Display is opened when the View Analysis Results Display command is invoked, and allows the analysis results for individual files to be viewed, sorted and filtered as required:
The display operates slightly differently depending on the active product edition. In Visual Lint Standard Edition, the active file is fixed and cannot be directly selected; but in Visual Lint Professional and Enterprise Editions both may be selected manually by the user.
The display can also show raw analysis results, and issue breakdown charts:
"Project" droplist: In Visual Lint Standard Edition, this drop list is used to choose which analysis results to display for the given file (the same file can generate different analysis results when compiled with different project settings). In Visual Lint Professional and Enterprise Edition, all projects are listed, and selecting one will populate the adjacent "File" droplist with the names of all files in that project.
"File" droplist : Selects the file whose analysis results should be displayed. [Visual Lint Professional and Enterprise Editions]
"View" droplist: Selects the active view within the display and allows basic filtering by issue category.
"...and above" checkbox: When unchecked, only issues of the category selected in the "View" droplist will be displayed. When checked, the default) only issues of the category selected or above will be displayed.
"Report" button: Allows an HTML report to be generated for the selected file. Where possible the report will be opened in the development environment's internal browser.
Pin button: Allows the currently displayed analysis results to be "pinned" so that changing the active file in the code editor will not disturb them.
