The "Analysis" Options page allows the analysis configuration of Visual Lint to be edited:
"Analysis Tool" control: Allows the active analysis tool to be changed. Note that this control will be read-only if a specific analysis tool is defined for the currently loaded solution/workspace. In this case, the active analysis tool should be changed from the Analysis Configuration Dialog instead.
"Set analysis state to..." control: Sets the default analysis state (Paused or Stopped) when Visual Lint is started. If set to Paused, background analysis will automatically start as soon as a solution is loaded.
"Maximum background analysis thread count" control: Sets the number of threads which should be used for background analysis. The default setting ("Auto") will allocate one thread per logical CPU core.
"Preferred analysis method" control: Determines whether background analyis will favour per-file or per-project analysis (assuming both are available with the active analysis tool). [Visual Lint Professional and Enterprise Editions]
"Auto save changed files before starting manual analysis" control: When set, modified files will automatically be saved before manual analysis is started; otherwise the user will be prompted to save them.
"Track include file dependencies between C/C++ files" control: Determines whether Visual Lint should take C/C++ include file dependencies into account when determining which files are affected by a change in a header file. [Visual Lint Professional and Enterprise Editions]
"Use Xoreax IncrediBuild (if installed) to accelerate analysis tasks" control: When set, most background analysis tasks will be executed on the local grid rather than on the host computer. This requires Xoreax IncrediBuild with the XGE Interfaces Extension Package. [Visual Lint Enterprise Edition]
"Use precompiled headers to accelerate analysis tasks" control: When set, precompiled headers will be used where possible to accelerate analysis tasks. Note that this is a PC-lint specific option. [Visual Lint Professional and Enterprise Editions]
