The "Displays" Options page allows the display configuration of Visual Lint to be edited:
"Auto-show the Analysis Results Display when analysis results are available" control: Auto-shows the Analysis Results Display when analysis results become available.
"Show progress bar during manual analysis" control: Determines whether the Manual Analysis Dialog will include a progress bar.
"Echo raw analysis results to the Output Window" control: When set, echos raw analysis results for the active source file to the Output Window/Console. This behaviour is disabled by default as doing so can be resource intensive in some development environments.
"Use the colour scheme of the host IDE where possible" control: When set, Visual Lint use the colour scheme of the host development environment where possible. [Visual Studio 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2012]
"Show code editor markers" control: When set, Visual Lint will insert marker icons indicating detected analysis issues in code editor windows if supported by the host development environment. [Visual Lint Enterprise Edition]
"Inline code highlighting" control: When enabled, Visual Lint will (if supported by the host development environment) highlight code fragments referenced in detected analysis issues by colouring them. The colour picker controls immediately below define the colours used. Note that this functionality currently applies to PC-lint analysis issues only. [Visual Lint Enterprise Edition]
"Text colour" control: Defines the text colour for inline markers. [Visual Lint Enterprise Edition].
"Background colour" control: Defines the background colour for inline markers. [Visual Lint Enterprise Edition].
"Check for new blog posts on startup" control: Determines whether Visual Lint should check for and display new posts on the Riverblade Developer's blog when it starts. The default is to check for new posts every 7 days.
"Include stale files in analysis metrics" control: When set, the analysis results of files with "Stale" analysis status will be included in analysis metrics shown in the Visual Lint displays.
"Include files within excluded projects in analysis metrics" control: When set, the analysis results of files within projects excluded from analysis will be included in analysis metrics shown in the Visual Lint displays. [Visual Lint Professional and Enterprise Editions]
"OK" button: Applies any pending changes and if successful dismisses the dialog.
"Cancel" button: Dismisses the dialog and leaves the existing settings unchanged.
