Using Visual Lint with the Google C++ Style Checker (cpplint.py)

cpplint.py is a Python 2.x script which Google use to style check their C++ code. As a style checker it concentrates on a different type of issues to static analysis tools such as PC-lint and CppCheck, but it can nevertheless be useful.

Please be aware that this tool assumes that the code being analysed should comply with the Google C++ coding standard, which may not be directly compatible with the coding style you normally use. As a Python script, it can however be modified to test against your own in-house coding standards if required.
