Stack Usage Display
The Stack Usage Display is opened when the View Stack Usage Display command is invoked in Visual Lint Professional and Enterprise Editions. If PC-lint is the active analysis tool, it gives details of the stack usage of a specified file or project within the loaded solution:
Like the Analysis Results Display, the contents of this display will by default update automatically as the active file in the code editor changes. The currently displayed stack usuage data can be locked in place using the "Pin" button to the right of the display.
To filter the contents of the displayed data, enter the text you want to filter by in the "Text Filter" control.
Controls
- "Project" droplist: In Visual Lint Personal Edition, this drop list is used to choose which stack usage report to display for the given file (the same file can generate different analysis results when compiled with different project settings). In Visual Lint Professional and Enterprise Edition, all projects are listed, and selecting one will populate the adjacent "File" droplist with the names of all files in that project.
- "File" droplist : Selects the file whose stack usage report should be displayed. [Visual Lint Professional and Enterprise Editions]
- "Text Filter" control: Allows you to enter freeform text to filter the displayed data by.
- "Pin" button: Allows the currently displayed stack usage report to be "pinned" so that changing the active file in the code editor will not disturb them.
- List control: Shows details of the stack usage report items for the selected project and file.
Context menu commands
- Copy: Copies the contents of the selected items (or all items if there is no selection) to the clipboard i CSV format.
- Select All: Selects all items with the display.
- Select None: Deselects all items with the display.
